Susanne Massie

Susanne taught high school Visual Arts for many years and now feels fortunate to be able to pursue a long-standing dream and passion to create her own body of work. Her aim is to capture the essence of place and environment and to respond to the sensory moment of what she sees, hears, smells and feels in that place, rather than to simply record it.

Susanne prefers the immediacy and direct observation of plein air and fast sketches and works outdoors whenever possible.
