Jerry Schmanda, Algonquin Photography
Wildlife photographer Jerry Schmanda attempts to express the beauty and importance of some of Algonquin’s most fragile ecosystems and most vulnerable animals through his photos.
Guiding canoe trips in Algonquin Park for more than 25 years, Jerry has been able to to spend a great deal of time with the wildlife he photographs. Through this experience he has learned important lessons including patience, waiting for just the right moment and, of utmost importance, understanding animal behaviour.
“Algonquin Park itself has inspired me to become a wildlife photographer.” – Jerry Schmanda
