Marianne Enhörning

Comox, British Columbia
Born in Sweden, Marianne is deeply influenced by her family heritage. She spent many years alternating her time between natural and urban environments, both as a kayak guide and an architect. Before architecture, Marianne studied fine arts as part of her BA and now returns to her true vocation, painting.

Marianne creates evocative, dreamlike works in mixed media that are figurative, nature influenced and abstractly architectural. Her art emerges from her deep sense of longing for a world that is inclusive, equal and just; a world that is simple and kind.
