Lynda Flanagan
Hamilton, Ontario
Lynda’s first solo show was in 1990 and titled, “Nature’s Heartbeat.” She had recently graduated from McMaster University with an Honours Fine Arts degree and was on her way to Windsor University to study for her Bachelor of Education. Lynda subsequently taught elementary school and painted as time permitted.
Since recently retiring from a fulfilling, 25(plus) year career in teaching, Lynda has gratefully to returned to her artistic journey. To convey her love and fascination of nature, she uses colour, shape, line and energetic brushstrokes in her acrylic landscape paintings. As Lynda eagerly embraces inspiration, she remains firmly grounded in nature and actively seeks connections and deep roots, much the same as the interdependency of the land.
