Shelley Newman

Shelley Newman, OSA/SCA*, studied commercial art at George Brown College and continued studying art as a part-time student at various studios and schools in Toronto, including OCAD. She worked for several years as a graphic artist in advertising and design.

During these years, Shelley was never far from a canvas and always had a painting on the go. After working with a variety of media, she continues to develop her skill in oils because of their richness and luminosity.

“The subject matter of my work is the landscape where my style has evolved from realism into contemporary impressionism.”
