Eleanor Lowden
Eleanor began her art career more than 30 years ago in Toronto. She studied fine arts at the University of Western Ontario, continued at the Ontario College of Art and then Alberta College of Art.
“My work is an interpretation of life from a happy point of view. My style plays with patterns and repetition of forms. I am continually exploring unique compositions while creating bright, luminous paintings built up through many layers of acrylic paint.”
Eleanor finds inspiration in everyday activities and universal themes. Common elements in her paintings include layers of pulsing, vibrant colours with neutral greys and repetitive patterns.
Eleanor is a member of the Ontario Society of Artists.
