Barry is an avid outdoor enthusiast, kayaker and hiker and this emotional bond to Ontario’s rugged wilderness inspires his landscapes. Working in both watercolour and acrylic, Barry is an award-winning Signature member of both the Society of Canadian Artists and the Canadian Society of Painters in watercolour.

There is a mystical impressionistic quality to his watercolours and an innovative abstraction in his bold acrylics. In both mediums, Barry attempts to capture the essence and spirit of the landscape. His work can be found in permanent collections across the globe.
