A Canadian original

The Oxtongue Craft Cabin & Gallery had a humble start in 1979 when artists Geraldine Slater and John McConnell hung their pieces on the fence of their summer log cabin in Dwight, Lake of Bays. Today, The Oxtongue Craft Cabin & Gallery represents over 100 of Canada’s most gifted craftspeople and artists and offers one of the most eclectic selections of fine Canadian craft north of Toronto.

Our collection is carefully selected to reflect the natural beauty of Muskoka and a relaxed cottage life. The Oxtongue Craft Cabin & Gallery is considered a “must stop” for locals, visitors and seasonal cottagers alike, as it continues to delight guests from around the world and around the bend.
